ABOUT THE EVENT

Nothing is as iconic as winter and hockey in the State of Minnesota. More than 45,000 youth players participate in the sport each year, with nearly 11,000 girls participating in organized hockey teams across the state.

Beginning in December 2015, Os Hockey Training and the Minnesota Whitecaps (Minnesota’s professional women’s hockey team) teamed up to launch the inaugural Girls Hockey Outdoor Classic. In the first three years of the event, nearly 2,000 young female athletes have come out to hone their pond hockey skills.

The Girls Outdoor Hockey Classic is in the fourth year of the event, and has proved to be a fun-filled weekend that showcases the athleticism, teamwork and impact of girls U8, U10 and U12 (under age 8, under age 10 and under age 12) hockey.
